Another hot day today in Whale Pass. The temperature is around 80 degrees, and is supposed to stay this way for the rest of the week, which means our water level will be questionable. Thankfully we can buy water at 40 dollars for 1000 gallons from the fire department, so we’ll do that if we have to.
Besides the heat, things are going great! Howard and Howard, seasoned veterans of fish camp, have brought up a great group of friends and relatives, including 4 great kids. Already they have hit the fish hard, bringing in just shy of 60 fish yesterday alone.
The halibut boat went out for it’s first of 3 trips this week. The fishermen are pretty excited, hopefully it will be a good trip. We still haven’t had a chance to use our brand new kicker motor, which is probably a good thing. Mark has been great at getting the boat back by dinnertime, so everybody can make it to the after-dinner devotional.
It’s amazing at the diversity of people we get up here at fish camp. In this camp alone we have Doctors, Stock Brokers, Businessmen, Lawyers, and even a professional X-Games Skiier. It is awesome to be able to get to know so many new people over the summer. We make many new friends here, it really is a great time.
Sorry for the lack of pictures. The internet up here has been moody. I’ll try to get some up as soon as possible.
